Boomers 6 Ingredient Healthy Pupcakes!

In honor of Boomers 1 year adoptaversary we are making healthy 6 ingredient pupcakes to celebrate!

Read on to find out how you can make some of your own!

Ingredients

  • 1 Apple
  • 1-2 Eggs
  • 6 Blueberries
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 1/2 Peanut Butter (Make sure it is xylitol free! I used peanut butter that contains only peanuts)

Optional Frosting: Plain Greek Yogurt

Makes 2-4 pupcakes depending how full you fill the muffin tins

Directions

Peel and grate 1 apple

I am sporting my New Hope Dog Rescue (The rescue Boomer was from) sweater in honor of the celebration!

Combine: Grated apple, eggs (2 eggs if you would like them soft and for more protein, 1 if you want them firmer), peanut butter and baking soda.

Once well mixed pour mixture into lightly greased muffin tins or into liners and then placed into tins.

Push blueberries into the mixture.

Bake at 350° F for approx 15-20 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean.

Feel free to cook longer for a more crunchy pupcake!

Let pupcakes cool before removing them from the pan, icing or feeding them to your pup!

Icing

Use Plain greek yogurt if you would like to frost your pupcakes!

I also added designs using peanut butter in a sandwich bag with a hole cut in the corner! You could also top with more blueberries!

Let your pup enjoy!

Please wait until the pupcakes are cool before serving and supervise your pup while they are eating them! You may also want to cut them up into pieces to prevent choking, Boomer got so excited he tried to swallow his whole!

Happy 1 Year Adoptaversary Boomer!

Post pupcake eating with yogurt icing on his lip!

Thank you for reading!
