Hey, my name is Savana, please let me introduce myself!
I am a mobile dog groomer, reiki practitioner, artist and entrepreneur living in Saskatoon, SK Canada with my husband Cory, our two Daughters and two rescue dogs!
I am passionate about grooming, animal hospice/end of life care, pet loss support, animal rescue, holistic pet care and reiki, just to name a few!
I have created Paws & Relax to live out my life’s purpose to help dogs and their owners!

My Background
My love for animals began when my family adopted a kitten (Sassy) when I was 5 years old. I didn’t discover my love for dogs until I was 12 when an elderly, stubborn shih tzu literally wandered into our lives. His name was Tommy and he would be the one who would change it all for me.
After discovering my love for animals, my first job was at a dog kennel which also ran a rescue. This is where my eyes were opened to the world of rescue and how many animals needed loving homes. Since then I have always worked with pets.
In 2013 I was faced with the decision of either going to art school or to become a pet groomer, I followed my animal loving heart and moved 2 hours away for 4 months to attend Apex Academy of Professional Grooming & Animal Arts to become a groomer. Best decision ever! It turns out, grooming allows me to combine both my love for working with animals AND my artistic ability.
Along the way, I have also taken other courses that interested me that I knew one day I wanted to bring into the animal world. One of those being Reiki, which is a form of energy work.
After becoming a groomer, I worked in both a salon setting and for a mobile grooming company. This is where I discovered how much I loved working one on one with the pets and providing the convenience of the mobile service. My end goal has always been to own a business and help animals in my own unique way. Paws & Relax allows me to offer grooming and reiki sessions right outside of the pets’ home!
I have spent years struggling and trying to figure out how to share my passions, knowledge, services and products on a bigger scale. Through this soul searching Paws & Relax mobile unit and our online business was born.
