Pet Loss Support Resources

The loss of a pet can be absolutely heartbreaking, and unfortunately this is often a topic not discussed by pet owners and professionals. There is a need for more honesty, acceptance and resources for owners going through this difficult transition. This page is dedicated to provide information, services and support for those going through or anticipating the loss of a pet.

You don’t have to go through this alone.

If you are struggling and need help coping with the loss of a pet

– Look into pet loss support groups in your area that you can attend. They can usually be located by a Google search.

-Support groups on Facebook can be a great place you can connect with people who are going through the same things as you.

-One of my favorite resources for pet loss support and end of life care is Spirits in Transition. They have telephone and email support provided by volunteers.  The site was created by Ella Bittel, a veterinarian specializing in holistic modalities.

-If you are needing someone to talk to one on one, I am available through the contact page. I do my best to respond to emails within 24-48 hours. I have training on pet loss companioning and have also dealt with the heartache of losing a pet first hand.

-If you are feeling completely overwhelmed, please know it is okay to get professional help!
